After a sleepless night in Rock Springs we got on our way. We had hopes of crossing into Nebraska but tiredness set in and Douglas sounded about right to end our day. On the way we stopped at a historic site for us Mormon folks, Martin's Cove. This was a location that on of the mormon handcart pioneer companies stayed during a brutal snow storm on their way to the SL Valley. Many died from hunger or froze to death. Good piece of history for the kids. I need to check our family tree to see if any relatives were part of this, but I dont think so. Made us think of how lucky we are rolling down a freeway in an air conditioned motorhome loaded with food and drinks. Martin's Cove is worth a short stop for sure.
