Big and Mill

Saturday I decided not to drive to race and rolled from the house on the skinny bike. I met up with a few others at the bottom of Emigration and climbed to the top of Big Mountain. Its about 2 hours to the top from Ragtown and about 75 miles round trip with 4000+ climbing in case you were wondering. Chasing DH, Crispy and Glen up and down the hills was anything but relaxing, but was a good workout.

Today I was able to sneek in a late afternoon trek up Millcreek on the 1-speed. I could have made it to the top, but it was getting late and I was tired of blazing trail in the snow. I'll get up there soon. First picture is where I turned around. I think I have been the furthest on bike by the looks of the snow banks still left, no tire tracks. The second picture is looking down one of the last steep pitches before the top. Coming down was a bit funner because you can ride on the snow. Damn cold though. I rode the pipeline down the canyon.

Here is my question. Is dog crap on the road or in the bush worse that dog crap in a plastic bag hanging on a tree limb next to the road..........??

I was up there on Saturday. Its too busy! The pipeline is a whole new trail. Grr. About the doo-doo, as long as the trail is not continually full, example tourist express mode, then dog poop should just be scooped off the trail with a stick, imho. It doesn't really hurt as long as there is not a huge accumulation of it. Who is going to follow around the moose, elk and cuteisy lil' deer with the bag and clean their mess up?

It is so lame that some one has the nerve to fill a bag o poop and just leave it on the trail, only for them to supposedly pick it up on the way down. Come on! I can lie better than that. I would rather look at a brown camouflaged mess than a brown, yellow or even orange bag. Side note, something I didn't think of.. what happens with my said scoop o poop into the bushes is the new landing point from when I decide to rapidly exit from the bike? hmm...

34x20 is better, bigger front ring, you get more chain wrap and feels better when cranking.
