I decided to stop watching any and all news after a weekend in St George when I didnt watch any at all and I felt much better about the world. Its been a couple weeks now and I dont think I will ever watch again. So If there is a Hurricane heading to Ragtown let me know. You should try it.
It looks like I am the only pre registered Pro Male for the Rampage. What is up with that? If your worried about the weather dont, just bring sunscreen. Rumour has it that DH may shred the dirt like old times with us fat tire folk......

I went off TV news a few years ago and enjoyed the same positive effects. Once you get withdrawl from the "must know what's going on" addiction, you pleasantly find more to enjoy. Plus, news is so blatantly crafted for ratings to sell ads (like slicing up the weather into 2,3,4 pieces) that I just couldn't take it anymore. We still take the paper, but I usually just scan the headlines as I eat breakfast - hardly ever read full articles. At least with the paper YOU decide what to read, not sit and ingest some programed content. And with the random access of the Internet, old style news is dead to me.
TV news is empty.
Print is where it's at, baby!
Seriously, I hope newspapers (or journalism) make a bit of a comeback, but it's going to have to be through the tubes of them internets.
Good luck down there! I will be playing in the snow instead. I have a feeling this is your season. The motivation seems high, just avoid the burnout.
