If its one thing I learned this year stepping into the Cat 1/2 lions den, it's that if I'm not firing on all cylinders and running on super unleaded I'm not going to be very competitive. Today was one of those days. Looking back I think I went a little overboard with the weekly crit racing after High Uintas and didnt allow myself to fully recover. Riding from Ragtown through the west side I could not get my heartrate going so I knew I was not at 100%. Owell I did what I could and killed myself a couple times to help bring stuff back and help teamates stay off. That is a very mental race with a corner every 10 seconds, 100 degrees and full gas.
I'm looking forward to some mountain rides next week in the cool mountains. I think its time to get a night ride rollin..... Who's in?
