I pulled the trigger on the MTB race for Saturday, it should be a good time. As AJ says, "just think of it as a dirt crit that you TT for 2 hours solo". I can handle that. I ripped the tubes out of my wheels and replaced them with some gooey white stuff Stan made, added some H2O cages and I think I will swap out the riser bars for some flaties if I get around to it. I am just hoping for some good riding in good weather and not taking DFL. The first two are given the last is up to me. I havent raced the MTB for a few years and I am a much older and wiser man now so it should be interesting. I now know the beauty of a good warmup.
Maybe after this week I can stop hearing the words snowpack, drought, and below normal. Then we can get along with Spring!

sager says he only goes hard on the climbs, like 10 mins a lap then his heart rate drops to 100bpm as he coasts down.
so its not a 2 hr TT, its a 2 ride with 2-20 min intervals.
I'll be peggin the DH in the BIG ring so my heart will stay rallied the whole time at 180bpm
