Here is good old Copperton, this sign is back from its heyday I am sure
4 miles into the Epic Butterfield Pass my SRAM decides its had enoughSo I set off late Sunday afternoon for one of the rides I have been thinking about before the year is over. I get out of the house at 4 so I dont have much time to lose. 15 minutes into it my new Sram Rival rear Derailleur takes a shit!. I call the wife for back up. She brings the trusty old Tarmac out and I continue on my ride. I decide I have lost enough time waiting for the replacement bike that I cant ride up Butterfield. I decide to head up to Copperton instead. What a great little town tucked away from sight. Maybe when I get old and awnry I can live up there alone and away from everything. They have a great city park and of course the Little Ore House Saloon. It was so cold I am glad I didnt make the accent up Butterfield.
Rides I must do before it gets really crappy:
1. St.George to SLC 3 day trip up highway 89
2. The famous 5. Little, Big, Millcreek, Emigration and City Creek in one day
3. Magna-Butterfield-Tooele Loop. Up over the Oquirhhs on the cross bike
4. Any freakin night ride on dirt!
RMR tonight. I am glad to see Sly will be out there attacking us all night. Only 2 weeks left of the crits. I hope to get in the top twenty in the A's but it will be close......
