I decided to attempt a solo hike to the top of the highest peaks in SL County on Tuesday afternoon, the AF Twins. I started at 5 from Snowbird and began hiking up to the bottom of Red Top Mtn, after a couple wrong turns using the Snowbird Summer trail map I made it to the bottom of the Gad 2 lift for some scrambling to the ridge. I got a little scetched out on the ridge and decided not the be that guy who gets lifted out of there on a helicopter. I decended the boulders back to Gad Valley and Hidden peak was calling my name. Got to the top at 9:30. After a few minutes in the warming room I started my decent in the dark. Thankfully I had my headlamp, but was still worried about hungry animals and got lost a couple times down the Peruvian Gulch area. 5 days later my legs are still worked..I think its time to cut back on the hikes so I can get ready for CX
