Ahhh a race without expectations...weird. Started 57 guys back which isnt too bad considering I was about mid pack from the gun. We got bunched at the first turn and had to stop and wait. The first lap you couldnt go hard becasue of all the traffic. I was just smiling having fun enjoying the experience. Once it cleared up a bit I just started passing guys as much as I could. I was feeling great and was moving through a lot of guys. With 4 to go the officials started stopping riders not in contention...lame. I felt I could have moved up a few more places in the next three laps and the leader were still about 3 minutes behind..owell good way to finish of a great CX season. Finished 41st so I passed 16 guys in about 45 minutes. Time to start training for next year. I want that stars and stripes jersey!
