I had a better showing at Draper but I am still at about 80%. I'll get there in time for CX. I lost a couple spots sitting behind a 29er on the last DH. 29ers cant turn or eccelerate worth a damn. I guess the squeling brakes and skidding behind him didnt give him the hint to move. I guess I wont be nice next time and just yell to get the hell out of the way.
Caveman tore it up adding to the win streak for Porcupine in the 19-29 class.
One of these days maybe I'll race some road and get DQ'ed or something dumb like that

You have inspired me to build up a new 29er. Yeah!
todd weeeels scored top 20 at world cup on (as you know) team special ED.
29er carbon tarmac...
i guess it was the rider. those bikes are gay. who was it holding you up, joel zenger.... ya jz spent too much time in the court room this winter? or ryan ashbridge. he needs to come finish my basement.
he was in another age group. I noticed a lot of big wheels before the race but not many on the podium if any...victims of marketing
3 of the top 5 in your group were on big wheels, including the winner.
What happened to the Cross countdown?
Victims of Marketing.. I like that! So true! ha ha (anyone who buys a lefty) oh snap!
I went in to Cole Sport to order a Giant Anthem X today. Scott convinced me to order a 29er instead. I guess you short people wouldn't understand.
And when you get stuck behind me and my Niner, don't blame the wheels. I'd be just as slow on anything else.
I'm not going to justify your post with a response. Oh wait, nevermind.
I love getting you 29er guys fired up. I wonder why you are all so defensive, hmm maybe a little truth cuts. 29ers have there place its called cyclocross and flat fire roads
After last nights digger, I'm going with 20" wheels
It wasn't me slowing Rico down.
Your comments about 29ers sound very similar to comments about full suspension bikes for xc racing back in the day. Wrong then? Wrong now? Who cares, it is a bike and race what you like. Guys (and gals) that are fast on 26ers are probably going to be just as fast on a 29er and vice versa. Don't blame the equipment.
ha!!!! i have a 29er and a lefty all on one bike....and thats not what is slowing me down, its the darn human joints that arn't healing so quick.
I love 29er bicycles. Good to meet you Wednesday JZ! This post was just venting about the race and checking if anyone read this dumb blog...If I wasn't so damn slow going up I wouldn't have been behind anyone on the DH.
Everyone reads this dumb blog because we would rather think about riding than actually do our job. The funny thing was when I was trying to stay on your wheel at round valley on the first lap (before I had a little crash of my own), I was wondering if it was the big wheels. But that was just me making excuses, although I think we all agree that you are definitely racing yourself into shape. See you at Sundance if you are racing.
