What a difference a week makes. It was really weird hearing Bruce call me out as the State champ as I'm half a lap down on Bart and slumin in 3rd, then blow up with 2 to go to finish 6th. I raced single speed again but took it much easier until 2 laps to go when I decided I wanted to be with the lead group. I ran out of gear coming into the finish and got 2nd. I switched to a smaller 42t gear up front before the race which was a mistake. Also racing before the A class is not too smart I decided.
So 1 more Utah race, 3 in KC and the best cycling season is over for 08. Sad but I am ready for the break. CX is hard on the body, that is why its so short. Speaking of KC it looks like I'll be hauling about 24 bikes with me. I hope highway pirates dont take over the RV....I'll pack the Mosquito just in case.
