Heber Half Full or Half Empty

Half Empty
- No mud, no rain, just cold
- not going as hard as I could of in the first lap when I wasleading. I was in an unfamilar place on the front and my brain told me to hold back, stupid idea
- being in the wrong place when Mitchell decided to eat some dirt
- Rolling a Dugast off the rim and nursing a full lap to the pits
- missing out on racing with the top 4 or 5

Half Full
- No mud, so my bike and skinsuit dont need hours of attention
- Had a really good start
- I didnt break any bones or come home in an ambulance
- I finished really strong for 5th after all that happened

Yesterday I almost forgot why I enjoy cross so much. I got so wrapped up in racing to win, and getting pissed about something I couldnt change. All it took was one of my little girls to come screaming Daddy and give me a big hug after the finish to bring me somewhat back to reality. A little sore today but I'll be back next week. Crispy took the win and so did Tanner in the B's. Our cross team is pretty solid this year.

Todds post has a good summary of evens with the first 3 pictures. Leading, throwing my bike thinking my day was done, then watching the race ride away from me.

Good job getting back into the race after it looked like you weren't going to be able to place.
