I don't know much about cross but have always wanted to give it a try. If I show up am I going to look like a fool because I don't own a cross bike?

Mountain bikes work well on cross courses too, they're just not as fast and light.

Rico, you're crazy!

k-day. A certain Alex Grant races a couple on his MTB last season and did great. No matter what you will have the time of your life and nobody will even notice especially when you blow past them

K-day, Sam Moore has won multiple UT cross races in the 35+ A using an old GT hardtail with a riged fork. Throw some 1.8 low profile treads on your MTB and you'll be hurting some roadies.
