Day 1- Goshen Canyon is a diamond in the rough and not too far away. 8 hours 150 miles
Day 2- Hwy 89 turned to gravel for about 5 miles, near the town of Joseph. Kevin dragged that BoB trailer the whole way. Panniers are a much better way to travel. I am sure he would agree. 7.5 hours 120 miles
Day 2- Big Rock Candy Mountain, does that look like Candy or a little tourist trap?
Day 3 on our way into Zion. 4 hours 70 miles
Finally after a very hot and hard day pushing the wind, we made it to St George. 19 Hours 30 minutes in the saddle, 340 miles. It was a good time, and I would do it again, but maybe cut out Zion. It was more of a hassle that it was worth. I felt dirty getting a ride though the tunnel.
Now its time to start thinking about the next trip..maybe head east to Boulder Colorado or a big loop in Capitol Reef/Torrey, Utah? I learned a lot on this first touring trip. It is a much better way to see the country.
Awards-
Best small town along the way- Marysvale, UT
Best Gas station- Tod's in Long Valley Junction, UT

Colorado sounds cool! CRC had some nice roads out around Torrey.
Its very nice to have the support of your s.o. on these crazy excursions. Nice write up. Did you kick it on the ground or stay in hotel in the evenings?
We had full intensions of tenting it both nights but ended up in a motel the second because we wanted to get some good food for dinner so we skipped the KOA in Glendale and kept rollin to Mt Carmel Jct.
If I would of known you were going to feel so bad for getting a 2 mile ride through the tunnel then I would of been better off letting you hitch and save myself and the fam the xtra hour 1/2 drive. Oh well. Nice Job.
I was very thankful for the ride. Next year your coming with and we will leave Zion out of it!
NICE!
Maybe do a reverse route next year.
Are you too pooped to post?
