I cant tell you how excited I was when I pulled into the parking lot and it was snowing, it knew it was going to be an epic muddy race. Maybe its the cross lover in me, but I get amped about racing in bad weather when some would rather drive home or not show. I had a good time and the course was so much fun. I am excited for the NMBS in a couple weeks. The hardtail was perfect and helped me climb a lot better. There really was no use for a full suspension so I'll take the 4 lb weight loss for the climbs. I finished 12th out of 22, so mid pack. The legs are started to get some life and I hope some good races are ahead of me. And Sly, I still got my teeth, less than 9 minutes back of AG.
Once I finished DV I thought hmmm, my legs felt good today and they shortened the race by 1 lap so maybe I'll go do Sugarhouse crit. I told myself not too all week because even if I am rested and on good form I have a hard time with the Pro 1/2 group. And sure enough not more than 5 laps in I started to cramp up. The legs were feeling the 1:42 of climbing at race pace that morning. I couldnt hold on, and called it a day after 20 minutes. I am always learning and yet another lesson. I cant hang onto a road race after destroying myself at a MTB race that same day.
Then I mowed the lawn

Sometime when you're bored and have nothing better to blog it would be cool to read about your bikes. I seem to recall you have an Epic, Stumpjumper (ht), Tarmac, Transition (tt), Tricross and the Spot (ss). It seems working at the Big S has some nice fringe benefits! Maybe I could get a part-time job?
Nice work on Saturday. I was spectating at the crit in the afternoon with the kids and looked for you in the group. We arrived at 3:30 so just missed you. I can't believe you lined up for more - that's crazy!
You're talking to me hugh? Good job at DV, wish I had gone.
Looks like you lasted 5 minutes longer than I did at Sugarhouse. And I didn't race MTB in the morning.
