DAMN HEALTHCARE- Something has got to change!

I spent 6+ hours at Primary Childrens ER room last night. I brought my 7 month old in at 8pm last night with a 1 inch gash just above her right eye. As I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours I notice countless times that others were admitted before us. I also happen to realized based on overheard conversations that A) they had no health insurance B) The kids had a fever or were puking and didnt feel good C)An interpreter was usually needed to make this conversation happen. So why is it that I pay $300 month for health care for my family and I sit and wait for hours because all these people get helped first. Why not serve based on who is going to pay and who needs it most? Yes please take care of the non-paying folks also but good hell I'm paying for them too at least give me a little better damn service. Maybe if they had to sit in the ER for 6 hours they might think twice about filling up the ER to get a presciption for Tylenol.

In other news 4pm was to early for Primetime again, The Epic was on fire yesterday and I felt much better on the bike for some more dirt time. FYI Thursday is the best rest day, it almost always is shitty weather, I promise....

My mom had a complication with a thyroid surgery, got really infected and was having trouble breathing, goes to the hospital. They put her in a "room" (curtained off hall way) and let her sit there. She said it kept getting worse and harder to breath. She ends up passing out with the last consciense thoughts "I'm going to die" My dad went out yelling, a doctor ran over and was able to stick a tube down her throat right before it completely closed. If they waited a couple seconds more, they would have had to do a tracheotomy. She is a nurse and works in the same hospital. I agree with you Rico. Fucked up

Tell me about it. When I crashed at Solitude and got 9 stitches I had a similar experience. Sitting their I started to think "should I just go home and butterfly it?". No wait, I can see the bone, better wait for the doctor.

When i crashed on Bench Creek in 06, quick arm warmer-knee warmer bandage then a few hours later sherwin takes me to the Heber ER.

I was in and out in 30, only patient in the joint, hell, next time i am hurt may just drive the 45 minutes there.

It was sweet.
