Hold your line

Apparently a few racers forgot how to ride their bikes over the winter and I was a the victim of their lack of attention in the oval on Saturday at the RMR. A "Contender" decided to put his pedal into my front wheel which causes my bike to stop and my body to hit the pavement, all I could think of was the 30 plus riders behind me coming at 30 mph. I was lucky and didnt get plowed into and because it was cold I had some protection so my road rash is minimal but the aches and pains have since set in. I havent checked over my SL2 yet so the pain may be worse than a few broken spokes...

I rode a bike into work today for the first time this year. Yeah the sun doesnt come up until 8am so the Minewt was called to duty. Sure feels good to ride the bike in. I am working on a sweet commuter to replace my car this year, complete with full racks and panniers. Should be done this week.

Sorry to hear you went down. Glad the body damage wasn't too bad. I hope your bike is OK.

I hear about WAY too many people crashing - no crits for me.

You went down pretty hard, Harwood was right behind you and he locked it up and I don't know how he avoided you. I was behind him and had no choice but to go right at your bike or else I was going to create antoher crash, somehow I didn't lock it up and moved to the outside slightly at the last sec...

Get better soon, remember the R in RMR stands for Rico!

Sorry to hear it was you there. I was right next to Harward or behind him as well and thought I was going over you. Wow I was only two back. Good reaction from everyone.
I said something to someone about holding their lines a few minutes before that. Got an earfull too. My sixth sense was sensing that something might be coming when it did. There were people moving a few inches here and there. I moved up the track a couple of times into the turn because I was so focused on the wheel in front of me but it was only an inch or two....sorry about that to anyone on my outside but luckily i was on the outside most of the time. Everyone should get better and it was pretty safe for the most part but yes just ride straight.
I hate that sound and hope you heal fast.
Hey Hornet....quick reflexes. I used to be a goalie so that helped. I have that image of Team Rico sliding sideways in my brain. I try to forget those images as quick as possible. -brian
