Helmets?

Who needs em... Maybe thats why Sly is so fast?

Question of the Winter. Is Skate skiing for me? Sounds like fun but I am seriously a complete novice. I have never mounted ski's on my feet, just that snowboard. Any advice on equipment and getting started???????

Yes. It is for you. I got into back country, and it's fun, but I want some more speed. Next year I'm getting skates next winter for sure. It's great cardio, works slow twitch stabilization muscles, and you go way faster than running. Just do it!

SKate skiing is hard, it is quite a workout and takes alot of technique, I tried and have no technique, bu it works for many.

I may have some skis for you! I have to look in storage. I used them up millcreek with the dogs attached and the next day I could barely walk.
(another hobby?, Dont tell the wife).

Turns out, if your skull is thick enough, then a helmet doesn't offer much protection. i.e. the italians, and belgians... is sly belgian?

I have girl feet- size 40-41. But if you can find some boots that will work with solomon pilot bindings I have skis and poles that will work fine. Or you could rent a set up from REI for pretty cheap. I am no pro but I happy to show you a few things. It is a steep learning curve and you will surely be frustrated the first time but once you get, you will be hooked.
