I was able to ride with Art for a lot of the race and eventually pass when he took another bike. My legs were feeling good and I wanted to keep moving up. I caught Reed then found myself with the top 5 with only a few laps to go.
AT one point the 2-6 spot were all together with a few to go. I sat on Bart's wheel for the first time this late in the race for a lap until he decided he was sick of not winning and set off to catch Ali. Art had caught and passed just about everyone and was sitting 2nd until a mechanical took him out of the game. The A-Train was hauling ass all day. I sat on Jon for a lap and waited for a good chance to pass but one never came until the last 300 yards to the finish and I came by to take the last spot on the podium for the first time ever in CX. Just an amazing race with great riders. I finally got some luck with no mechanicals and good rubber under me. I cant wait for next season.

Nice race Rico. By far the most intense of the season from the sidelines. I'm sure it was even more so on the bike. A good result is a great way to end the season.
oh man that was some serious fun, you had me running scared all day. can't wait to resume the battles on fatter tires. I am already scared for next season, the thought of you, DH, and Crispy lighting things up, damn.
Did you get on the board Sunday?
