Muddy Cow Pie Cross

This is about the closest I came to DH all day. He finished 8th..me 9th

Ahhhh was it fun. Too bad I dont have a picture of the 4 inch deep 50 foot long mud bog we had to plow through everylap. Other than that the course was great, flat with lots of corners and a fast section of pavement. The weather held up, it just started hailing as we finished.
AJ hurt the old guys taking #1, Step O han scored #2 and The Throttle picked up the last podium spot in the 35 + A's for a Porcupine sweep. I was motivated to not get caught by those old farts...And It sounds like Bryson took over for the RB vs Art showdown.
It only took me 4 hours to clean all my clothes and my bike when I got home. I found that the Tufo tape on my Tubulars had lost all stickiness. So I no longer trust the Tufo tape. I pushed both tires of without any effort. I really dont know how I didnt roll a tire during the race. Any gluing advise?

Too bad with the tires. I checked mine tonight and they're still solid with the tape. Tanner's as well. Maybe you had some bad tape?

maybe bad tape but I'm scared to use it now. I was pushing it hard on the pavement section. I am really suprised it didnt roll off

I rolled my tire off the rim with the tufo tape. Apparently wet+tufo tape=bad news. Only made it halfway through the race. Luckily tire and wheel are fine.

I spoke too soon. After everything dryed out, my tires came off as well. I'll be getting glue tomorrow.

I ended up using glue after all. Continental glue and a lot of it worked well for me. Crispy convinced me to run super low pressure and besides trying to sprint on the pavement it felt super boss!
Tranquilo,

I heard that Tufo stuff only works on belgian mud and water. It's too refined to work on lazy American stuff.
