Well I finished 5th in my Pro debut, not bad I must say, I was happy with that. 15 guys started. I couldnt hang with Sly, Ali an T Span for too long, they dropped me right before the hike a bike. Sly has been training on St. George volcanos for that section in the off season. Art was setting a good pace for 3 laps until he flatted. I should have just thrown him my stuff instead of asking if he wanted it. I'll get him next time. That kinda put me in no mans land but I started rolling good thinkin I was now being hunted from behind. I caught one guy just before the finish to take the 5th spot. Ohh and the fifth spot is the first loser to not get a check, just a note to other would be Pros getting into it for the big $$. We just missed the weather, we drove through a blizzard in Tooele our our way back to Ragtown. UtRider was out there getting his dirt fix. Good to finally meet him.
After falling out of bed this morning sore as all hell, I hit the road for 3+ Solo. I rode into the TC via I-80 and headed through Granstville and up to South Willow Canyon. It was super windy, the big rigs where flying by at 80 for the 2 miles of freeway I had to go on, but it was nice to ride something different. I think I ended up with 65miles. Now its rest for me, a full on rest and recovery week so I can come out stronger for some more racing action.
The boys did just fine without me at Antelope. Being outnumbered by Sienna like usual AJ was in an early break with 2 Sienna's and took a beating but finished 3rd with DH coming in for 5th. Good work guys.
