Its inevitable. When you buy a new house eventually you will have to put in something resembling a yard. Luckly my hood doesnt have any deadlines to accomplish this feat, at least ones that are upheld. So I am jumping head first into this great project this spring. This week I am looking at rocks or you could call them boulders, at $800 a load I am off to a great start. They are ROCKS, not gold.....It just gets worse from there. Sprinklers, curbing, trees, sod, mulch fencing...etc. etc. I will have to start selling blood to get this all paid for. In fact I had a friend of mine who has his own landscaping company come give me a bid. $17,000 Ouch! I guess I will be doing it all myself.
So when you see me off the back at the local road race just remember I've been breaking my back trying to save a few bucks for the greater good of my Ragtown mansion...
I get to race again tomorrow. Yeah!

I'm right there with you. I put sod in last year but wasn't thinking about putting in a irrigation system in. Half of it is dead, now.... you should put in a "rock garden" .. no watering and no mowing yards. Win win situation.
Putting in a yard makes you fast. Maybe Bart will feature it in an upcoming training tip.
save the water and the grass, give me the 17 g's and i will sell you some dishes, old towels and clothes i had on ebay.
i might throw in some used jerseys and JT cow spot shorts i got back in 91'
