Here is how the day began. After a chilly night sleeping in the van with the coyotes circling I headed to JB's for some French toast.

Here is Primetime getting worked over after the race by his servants. This is why he was able to climb the Black Ridge in under 25 minutes. Good work Sly and great job with 4th, you are well on your way back to that top spot.

1:31:12 is the time it took to win my group Exp 19-29. I got a good 1 hr warm up on the trainer in anticipation of the MTB start/sprint. I was nervous at the line waiting for the heartrate to go crazy. So when I found myself coasting and sitting 2 guys back I decided to make it hard. I dropped 2 gears and hit it hard and never looked back putting a gap on the group, to my surprise. I kept looking back when I could, and the gaps were getting bigger. I could see some Pro's up ahead and started picking them off one by one. I think I passed about 7 total for the day. I went as hard as I could for the full race and was happy to not flat or crash. It was one of those days when you can just drill it and nothing hurts. I have found some light in the 2007 season after the disaster that was VOS. My first win of the season and one of two for the Porcupine crew. The Throttle won the 40+ group in simular fashion. Hmm maybe MTB racing is for me.............. Or I'm just an in shape roadie that caught the MTB boys sleepin....Either way it was a lot of fun !

Nice ride! Sounds like you should be mixing it up with the Pros when you race on the dirt.
