Yup yesterday didnt go well for me and some others. The road race hurt and after 2 laps in the wind and 80+ degrees chasing with a cramp in my calf I pulled the plug. I was definetely not ready for this race so early or I just dont have what it takes to compete at this level. I hope it the first reason but I guess time will tell.
I was ready to post all my stuff on ebay after the race and call it a career but having a day to think about it, I shouldnt get down on myself to much. This will just motivate me to work harder so it doesnt happen in May-August. In the TT Friday I felt good but found out my rear brake was rubbing the whole time. So if anyone is looking for a set of Zero Gravity brakes. These will be in my trash can on Monday!
Today I am going to ride with GA who is down for his girls soccer, then head over and watch DH hurt for 75 minutes. DH is riding well and taking chances to move up in GC with the big teams. I guess we will both come away after this as better riders, it scary to think DH will get better, because the man is a bad A. It should be a good year for the Porcs with DH at the helm.
We roll tonight to St George, which should be nice. I miss good old Utah. If you think traffic is bad in Utah just take a trip to Phoenix and your mind will change. We are heading through Vegas on the way back, maybe we will see Sly shreddin the Boulevard in traffic.
