Stage One of the Tour de Gap ended a couple hours ago. After 2 hours of not riding too hard it all came down to the sprint which I can do, when I know where the finish is.... In all the hustle and bustle of the finish I was following wheels and crossed the finish line and didnt even know it......IDIOT! I had a good sprint in me and I could have won. Stupid bike racer! At least I didnt loose any time and there werent any time bonuses given out. I think I ended up 5th just sitting there as people who knew where the finish was came zipping by. I have the crit in about 2 hours and I am motivated to win now. We have a really good field of fast climbing skinny Cat 3's so it should be interested tomorrow on the climbing stage if I can hang in and not lose too much time.
If any of you are thinking of staying in the Cedar City Area I would not recommend the Days Inn. What a hole. Our first room was the size of a bathroom with a full size bed. So I bitched and got us a better room but its still pretty shabby. I have never really been that impressed with this area anyway. Why stay here when SG is just 40 minutes down the road? My wife and I are are currently sitting outside the room while we hopfully the kids are getting to sleep. They need a nap or they will be grumpy all day. They were awake wrestling in our bed until past midnight last night. Speaking of nap its my turn. The kids think there on some sort of vacation I guess
