So I'm 2 for 3

Well the State Road race turned out to be a disaster. On the first lap we had 10 guys slowly get away from the group. We all didnt think anything of it because most of the big hitters where in the back chillin. Well the group kept getting further and further away. A couple of the teams that had guys up the road were blocking so something had to be done. So a few of us start to pick up the pace to catch these guys but werent making any progress. I was content with sittin on the chase until this point so I moved to the front and laid it down. After a couple good pulls from Mike S and myself the group was within reach which is exactly when the next hill started and I could not recover. I watched the group slowly fade away into the sunset. I tried like hell to get back on but I had nothing and I mean nothing. I spent the rest of the morning crying under a big shade tree in the park. My first ever DNF................ GA took a solid 2nd, DH 2nd and AJ 5th. I am going to rest today or take the family for a little ride, get the mtn bike ready to roll and paint some doors on the house. Painting sucks! One more solid week of racing and I am taking a siesta for 5 days. No racing for 2 maybe 3 weeks and a good 5 days totally off the bike. I am ready for a break....
